HOMEMADE
SIN without DAN BAIRD
HOMEMADE SIN without DAN BAIRD will be
coming to Sheffield on Tuesday 7th
November. Dan himself will be absent
while recovering from his illness (see
his message below), but Warner and
Mauro will make sure the Homemade Sin
train rolls on and Dan has a band to
return to. Joe Blanton (The
Bluefields, Royal Court of China) will
be filling in for Dan and Sean
Savacool filling in for Micke Björk.
The basis of the show will be Homemade
Sin, but with a broader scope, some
Scorchers, some covers, but still a
whole wallop of Homemade Sin and
Satellites and whatever it ends up
being, it'll be a kick ass rock n roll
show.
HERE ARE A FEW WORDS FROM DAN:
Gang, DB has to take the rest of the
year off to remove his blood cancer
(CLL). Treatment and recovery will
hopefully be concluded by the new
year. Can't say for certain exactly
when, but that's the first extra broad
stroke diagnosis. I want this crap
gone ASAP. Very doable, but I have to
commit the time to do the treatment.
Promise to let y'all know when it's
done.
That brings us to Homemade Sin and at
least the rest of this year's shows.
I've stated before that HMS is a
working band, and we have work this
fall, although I can't be there.
Warner and Mauro will be, as well as
Sean Savacool on bass while Micke
navigates his own family/personal
waters.
I've asked
Joe Blanton my good friend,
songwriting partner, fellow bandmate
(the Bluefields), Homemade Sin's
engineer and producer to step in and
give a hand in helping the band
fulfill the dates we have on the
books.
I'll ask 2 favors of those wondering
if this will work.
1 - Give Joe a shot at being himself
while doing the shit I usually do on
the stage. He's his own man, but has a
more than healthy respect for our/my
catalogue past and present.
2 - Please don't expect me to sing as
on pitch as he does when I do come
back. Ain't gonna happen.
SUPPORT A WORKING BAND SO I HAVE ONE
TO COME BACK TO WHEN I AM ALL RIGHT
AGAIN.

Following
on from Dan Baird and Homemade Sin's
TWO sell-out shows in 2016 - including
the spectacular triple bill - we are
extremely proud and excited to welcome
Dan and the gang back to The
Greystones in 2017 with extra special
guest, and Greystones favourite, Otis
Gibbs!
This is an outstanding line-up and
will be a fantastic evening of quality
music in the intimate Backroom.
With both artists commanding dedicated
and committed audiences at The
Greystones, and with a new DBHMS album
(Otis worked with the band on the
record) on the way, a brand-new solo
album from Dan Baird, and Otis's
amazing back catalogue and history of
fantastic gigs at the venue, this show
is sure to sell out!
You're going to be sad if you don't
see this outstanding show... You'll be
even sadder when people tell you how
good the show was. So, please, get
your skates on and don't let it happen
to you! You must be there... it's the
law.
Tickets available daily from the venue
until 6pm.
